众子阿，要听父亲的教训，留心得知聪明。
Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
我在父亲面前为孝子，在母亲眼中为独一的娇儿。
For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
父亲教训我说，你心要存记我的言语，遵守我的命令，便得存活。
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
要得智慧，要得聪明。不可忘记，也不可偏离我口中的言语。
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
不可离弃智慧，智慧就护卫你。要爱他，他就保守你。
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
智慧为首。所以要得智慧。在你一切所得之内，必得聪明。（或作用你一切所得的去换聪明）
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
高举智慧，他就使你高升。怀抱智慧，他就使你尊荣。
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
我已指教你走智慧的道，引导你行正直的路。
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
你行走，脚步必不致狭窄。你奔跑，也不致跌倒。
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
要持定训诲，不可放松。必当谨守，因为他是你的生命。
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
